Compressor Oil
The most common mistakes made during installation and servicing is using the wrong compressor oil. Compressor oil lubricates and cools the moving parts of the compressor and forms a film between cylinder and pistons. The oil therefore should have the correct lubrication performance, viscosity and miscibility with refrigerant. To identify the correct oil type and the amount you can check NRF’s R134a/R1234yf Air Conditioning Filling Chart. The range of NRF exists of the PAG oils in different viscosity’s including for the new R1234YF refrigerant. And POE oils for hybrid/electrical applications.
